DRAIN JOINT, AND DRAIN PIPE CONNECTING METHOD USING SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simply and compactly settle attaching to a drain main pipe, and to facilitate drilling work by providing a guide part for a cutting tool at the time of drilling. SOLUTION: This drain joint 10 is provided with a joint body 15 and a holding member 16. The joint body 15 covers one side of a drain main pipe 11, and is oriented to a direction crossing with the main pipe 11 to form a cylindrical drain channel 13 for connecting engegingly a drain branch pipe 12. The channel 13 is formed to have an inside diameter D for inserting substantially close-contactingly a cutting tool to drill a drain port 14 in the main pipe 11. The holding part 16 goes around the other side of the main pipe 11 in a position corresponding to the joint body 15 to hold the joint body 15 detachably by its both end parts 16a, 16b. A fastening means 17 for applying fastening force with respect to the joint body 15 is provided in at least one side of holding parts.
