PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a forming press for a crank shaft high in safety, high in slide strength, excellent in pressing precision and permitting high cycle control. SOLUTION: In this forming press for a crank shaft in which a torsional forging part and a shaping forging part are provided in the inside of one press, a torsional cylinder 20 is attached to a crown 2, pressing rods 31 are arranged along the outer surface of a slide 4, lower ends of the pressing rods 31 are mutually connected with a torsionally lowering beam and a torsionally returning beam. The slide 4 is an inverse T shape in the cross section, a pressurizing block 23 is an H shape in the vertical view and moreover an inverse U shape in the lateral view, they do not interfere each other, and a large ascending and descending stroke is obtained. The slide 4 and the pressing rods 31 are provided with stoppers (27), 28 which make their relative positional relation coincide and a relief valve for the torsional cylinder 20.
