PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To heat food stuff optimally by a method wherein the output of a heating means is controlled by a temperature detecting means, whose accuracy is increased by the constitution of adding the radiation heat of a heating means or a heater, radiating infrared rays, through a bias, and a control means. SOLUTION: When exciting is started, heat is generated from a plurality of infrared ray heaters 12 in an oven unit 6 while the infrared rays transmit a beat resistant glass 2 positioned immediately above the heaters and heat food stuff 1 by conduction heat and radiation heat. Heating control is effected based on the detected value of a temperature detecting means 17, which is inputted into the control means (microcomputer) 7. In this case, the temperature detecting means 17, positioned at the central part of bottom surface of the oven unit 6, is provided with a heat insulating material as the restraining body 16 of heat so that the radiation heat from the infrared ray heaters 12 is optimized. According to this method, the infrared ray heaters 12 are heated to a high temperature of about 800 deg.C, however, the radiation heat is insulated optimally and effects optimally on the temperature sensor 17 as a heat bias. Accordingly, heating can be approximated to the gradient of temperature change of the heat resistant glass 2 whereby the food stuff 1 can be heated optimally.
