SUBSTANCE: device designed for heat treatment and dehydration of chemically unstable, dispersed, and granular materials has charging and discharging units, shell with zigzag-shaped members made in the form of flat blades set perpendicular to shell surface and at certain angle to each other so that they form ducts connected at their end sections to respective charging and discharging units. Apparatus is provided with common fixed casing, horizontal axial supporting shaft, set of coaxial shells with flat blades arranged in-between at 30-95 deg. , and rows of radial through pipe connections passed through set of shells in vicinity of coolant admission. Set of coaxial shells is provided on charging unit side with coaxial converging taper walls axially joined at smaller side to screw feeder; on discharging unit side it has coaxial diverging taper walls each having cone base; they are mounted in a spaced relation to each other to provide passage for finished product.
