摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing apparatus capable of easily executing the directional radio communication. SOLUTION: A transceiver part 22 of a printing apparatus 20 comprises an IrDA transceiver 103 and a reflecting mirror 104 integrally mounted on a rotation member with a window 102. The IrDA transceiver 103 is fixed to the rotation member with a window 102 via a supporting member 105, and is connected with a bus in a control part of the apparatus main body by an unillustrated flexible cable. The reflecting mirror 104 can be switched between the close position shown by the chain double-dashed line 104' in the figure and the open position shown by the solid line via a hinge 106. The rotation member with a window 102 is supported by a receiving part 101 of the apparatus main body rotatably by 360 degrees. A transmission infrared ray signal of the IrDA transceiver 103 passing through the window 107 of the rotation member with a window 102 has a conical radiation area having an angleθ=30 degree in the forward direction with respect to the spread reflecting mirror 104 so as to allow the communication in 360 degrees according to the rotation of the rotation member with a window 102.
