PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a welding spatter adhesion preventive agent which is not decomposed by the welding heat, and is excellent in workability and environmental property, and whose liquid waste gives no adverse effect on the environment by containing one or more kinds of salt to be selected from alkaline metal salt of silicate, ion of fluoride, ion of hydrogencarbonate, water-soluble alcohol or its derivative. SOLUTION: It is preferable that alkaline metal salt of silicate is sodium silicate, water-soluble alcohol or its derivative is ethylene glycol, and a rust preventive agent is contained in an adhesion preventive agent. It is also preferable that the concentration of the alkaline metal salt of silicate is 0.1-25 wt.% the concentration of the ion of fluoride is 1×10-3 to 10 wt.% the concentration of the ion of hydrogencarbonate is 1×10-2 to 10 wt.%, and 2-10 wt.% ethylene glycol or its derivative is contained. When the spatter adhesion preventive agent is used, peeling of zinc and precipitation of powder zinc can be suppressed in welding a galvanized metal.
