PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject novel hyaluronidase inhibitor that has marked hyaluronidase inhibitory activity with high safety by using a sulfated polysaccharide having specific properties. SOLUTION: This hyaluronidase inhibitor has <=0.05μg/ml of the 50% inhibitory concentration of the hyaluronic acid hydrolysis activity of the hyaluronidase (preferably lyase type) originating from Staphylococcus aureus (preferably obtained from the skin of a patient with atopic dermatitis under the reaction conditions in 40 mM formate buffer solution (at pH of 4.0) at 37 deg.C for 16 hours. In addition, this inhibitor has the molecular weight of 7,500-17,000 according to the gel filtration method and contains sulfated polysaccharide with a sulfur content of 12.5-18% (for example, sulfated chondroitin sulfate, dextran sulfate, hyaluronic acid sulfate, heparin sulfate, sulfated dermatan sulfate or the like).
