PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain microorganisms capable of suppressing the growth of grass, capable of manifesting the growth-inhibiting activities of keeping the grass in low height for a long time. SOLUTION: This microorganism is the one providing the growth-inhibiting activities to grass, and belong to the genus Bacillus, e.g. Bacillus sp. No. 305-6 (FERM P-17072). The microorganism is cultured, and the obtained microorganisms are killed. The obtained clear supernatant is diluted with water, and the diluted supernatant is scattered on the grass.
