PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve durability by picking up and separatively feeding sheets by one feed roller, and combining a long service life and separating performance of the feed roller. SOLUTION: When a start button is pressed, a drawing motor M2 and a feed motor M1 respectively start rotating, and a CPU indicates the 'ON' state of a drawing clutch 50. A pair of drawing rollers 48 therefore start rotating in a sheet conveying direction, and a separating roller driving shaft 45 is rotated in a reverse direction to the sheet conveying direction. Specified return force is generated to a separating roller 43 by torque generated by a torque limiter 44. With this return force, a feed roller 33 receives reverse rotating direction force. The feed roller 33 is therefore rotated in a reverse direction following the separating roller 43 until a flange wall collides with a spring pin, and thereafter reverse rotation is regulated by the action of a one-way gear 37, so that rotation is stopped, and the separating roller 43 comes to a standstill due to friction with the feed roller 33.
