PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a packing apparatus for packing a wall-hanging-type air conditioner or the like wherein compressive strength is reinforced to prevent deformation due to buckling or the like when loaded. SOLUTION: A joint face 6 is connected with a bottom face 2 or an upper face 4 to be joined with an internal side of one or the other side face 3, while flaps continuously formed with both sides at both ends of a packing box comprise auxiliary folding pieces 7, 10 formed at both sides of both ends of the side face and the other side face and forming a clearance slightly larger than a thickness of the joint face between the side face and the other side face, and folding pieces 8, 11 continuously formed with the auxiliary folding pieces with upper and lower ends in proximity or in contact with the bottom face and the upper face. A body press 16 is formed so that its upper and lower parts come into proximity or contact with the upper face and the bottom face and both side faces are come into contact with both folding pieces.
