PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fender rear structure of an automobile that can improve the appearance of a connection of a shield member and a body side outer, seal an opening between the front part of the body side outer and the rear part of the fender panel, and heighten water impermeability. SOLUTION: The first connecting surface 1C to be connected on the front of a body side outer 2 is lapped on at least about a lower half of the front of the body side outer 2 in car breadth direction. Therefore, the seal member in the connecting unit is hidden and the appearance can be improved, and also, the individual error of the opening size by each vehicle can be absorbed by this lapped part. So, the opening between the front part of the body side outer 2 and the rear part of the fender panel 3 can be sealed surely to heighten water impermeability.
