摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generate the propulsive force of an object by making the difference in flow velocity between the front surface part and the rear surface part of the object. SOLUTION: In this object propulsion device, a flow velocity acceleration means 2 is provided, the acceleration of flowing fluid along the front surface part 1a of an object 1 by the flow velocity acceleration means 2, thereby allows static pressure acting on the front surface part 1a of the object 1 as propulsion resistance of flowing fluid, to be reduced, and it is so constituted that the propulsive force of the object is generated by the difference in static pressure for flowing fluid between the propulsive force acting on the rear surface part 1b and propulsion resistance acting on the front surface part 1a of the object 1. In this place, the object 1 represents a single hull boat, the flow velocity acceleration means 2 is formed out of paired vertical flow straightening vanes provided for the right and left sides of the single hull boat 1 from the tip end part down to its intermediate part while being laid along the longitudinal direction for accelerating fluid flowing along the front surface part 1a of the single hull boat by making use of the potential energy of standing waves generated between the single hull boat and each flow straightening vane.
