摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an impact energy absorbing cylindrical body capable of continuing stable self-rupture while being a simple structure and excellent in installing performance with a shock absorber related member. SOLUTION: The inside of a cylindrical body 1 is formed in a columnar hollow shape, and a plane is arranged on an outside surface. When the external shape of the cylindrical body 1 is prismatic, the external shape is stably ruptured by orderly nonuniformity of the thickness. A thermotropic liquid crystal polymer is desirable as a material of the impact energy absorbing cylindrical body 1, and when this resin is oriented by forming an angle with the axial direction of a cylinder, axial directional mechanical strength increases.
