PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid dynamic pressure bearing not polluting a storage medium or a reading device such as a hard disk, and to reduce the cost of the liquid dynamic pressure bearing having a resin coating. SOLUTION: In a liquid dynamic bearing having a columnar shaft member 1, a cylindrical receiving member 2 to which the columnar shaft member 1 is rotatably fitted, and a lid member 3, the columnar shaft member 1 comprises a metallic core N with a resin coating layer P thereon, and the resin coating layer P and a dynamic pressure generating groove provided in the resin coating layer P are integrated with each other by forming a liquid crystal polymer material.
