PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a self-propelled machine for treating a sweet-potato runner capable of tearing off the runner of sweet-potato cultured on a ridge from the root, scraping up the runner with a transportation apparatus and discharging to other place and removing the treatment waste scattered on the treated place. SOLUTION: A treated place cleaning device to collect the treatment waste scattered on a field is placed at the back of a traveling machine body provided with a runner treating apparatus to enable the treatment of the runner with the runner treating apparatus and the removal of the treatment waste with the treating place cleaning device at the same time. The gathering work part of the treated place cleaning device is formed in the form of a rake and the rake-formed working part is transferred along the groove of the field.
