PURPOSE: A method for connection control for internet televisions is provided to detect the status of line and to enable a user to determine whether he want to connect the site when the line speed is lower than a predetermined value. CONSTITUTION: A method for connection control for internet televisions includes first thru fifth steps. At the first step, whether the user wants to connect to the internet is determined. At the second step, a broadcasting mode is completed and the line status for the communication network is detected. At the third step, whether the line speed is lower than a predetermined value is determined. At the forth step, user determines to connect to the internet in spite of the low line speed.
