PURPOSE: A booting program modifying device and method of PC based controller is provided to modify a booting program from a PC through an ISA bus instead of a CPU. CONSTITUTION: A booting program modifying device of PC based controller comprises a shared memory(110), a booting memory(120) and a control logic(130). The shared memory(110) shares information with the CPU and the PC. The control logic(130) generates the state of the PC by a particular address and control signal transferred through an ISA bus in program modification and the state of a CPU by the address and control signal, and controls the shared memory and the booting memory in order to modify the contents of the booting memory.
