PURPOSE: A data processing device and a method for mounting liquid crystal display module are provided. The data processing device uses thin liquid crystal display module, therefore is useful for the contraction of the bracket of liquid crystal module and a screw. CONSTITUTION: A data processing device (100) comprises a data processing module (10) which processes the data; and a display module (50) which converts the display signal generated at the data processing module (10) into the image signal. The display module (50) consists of a liquid display module (20) which displays the data processed at the data processing module, the bracket (40) of the liquid crystal display module which is slide-bound to the liquid crystal display module (20) to support the upper edge, the side edge and the lower edge of the liquid crystal display module (20), and a case (30) where the bracket (40) of the liquid crystal display module is fixed.
