METHOD FOR AUTO-DETECTING RING SIGNAL IN VCD PLAYER

PURPOSE: A method for auto-detecting ring signal in VCD player is provided to improve functions of a VCD(video compact disk) player by connecting a telephone line to a VCD player and display a ring signal on the screen automatically if the ring signal is detected while playing back a VCD. CONSTITUTION: A method for auto-detecting ring signal in VCD player, which connects a telephone line to a VCD player and displays a ring signal on the screen automatically if the ring signal is detected during playing back a VCD, is disclosed. The method for auto-detecting ring signal in VCD player includes step of detecting the ring signal inputted from an external telephone line during playing back and displaying an image screen of the VCD player(205); step of generating a control signal of ring detection and generating an OSD guiding message corresponding to detection of the ring signal if the ring signal is detected(207,209); and step of displaying the OSD guiding message on the displayed image screen(211).
