PURPOSE: A device for editing a phone sound in a personal communication service(PCS) terminal is provided so that the user can directly edit the phone sound of the PCS terminal. CONSTITUTION: A key connecting unit(140) outputs a key signal for a key button operated by a key pad unit(120). A unit sound data storing unit(150) stores a unit sound. A selection number storing unit(160) stores phone sound selection numbers. A phone sound data storing unit(170) stores a predetermined number of phone sound data. A speaker unit(180) receives the phone sound data, and outputs a corresponding sound(melody). A control unit(190) transmits the unit sound data in the unit sound data storing unit(150) or the phone sound data in the phone sound data storing unit(170) to the speaker unit(180) according to the key signal inputted from the key connecting unit(140), and stores the unit sound data corresponding to the inputted key signal in the phone sound data storing unit(170).
