PURPOSE: An active pixel sensor is provided to obtain a large signal swing, and a low transient noise by providing an exact correlated double sampling. CONSTITUTION: An active pixel sensor comprises a reset transistor(14), a row select transistor (24), a source follower input signal transistor(21) and a pixel signal coupling capacitor(23). The reset transistor(14) consists of a photo detector(12) and a reset gate(15), and the row select transistor(24) has a row select gate(25). The reset transistor(14) comprises a single gate(15), a drain(18) and two divided sources(16,17). The source(17) is connected to the same connection node(a) as the photo detector(12), and one terminal of the pixel signal coupling capacitor(23) is connected to the connection node(a). The source(16) is connected to the other terminal of the pixel signal coupling capacitor(23) and to a gate of the source follower input signal transistor(21). |
