PURPOSE: A supply break device for tape recorder is provided to decrease the number of parts and assembling process and to make a proper break power work according to each mode by making a supply band break execute functions of a supply sub break and a supply main break. CONSTITUTION: A supply break device for tape recorder includes a connect plate(30) in which a lever transferring track(31) is formed near a supply reel table(13); a tension control lever(40) which is combined with a deck plate(10) rotatable and of which one end is combined with the lever transferring track(31) and which controls rotational amount of a tension lever(15); and a tension spring(42) which connects the other end of the tension control lever(40) with the tension lever(15).
