PURPOSE: A method for embodying a channel list and a device therefor are provided to embody the channel list of all currently-receivable channels on a TV screen in a digital broadcast receiving device such as DTV or DTTV. CONSTITUTION: A device for embodying a channel list comprises a parser(11) for parsing a data inputted in the form of a transport stream(TS), and extracting program specific information(PSI); a control unit(12) for generating a service list by extracting information from the PSI, and embodying a channel list of all currently-receivable channels on a TV screen according to the user's input; a service list storing unit(13) for storing the service list in the form of a data base; and a display unit(14) for displaying on the screen the channel list including a channel number, a full name of a broadcasting station of the channel, a scroll bar, a number of the whole channels, and a selection menu for selecting previous and succeeding channel lists. Accordingly, the full names of the broadcasting stations corresponding to the channel numbers are displayed, the previous or succeeding channel lists are displayed by a single operation, and thus the user can easily search the available channel list.
