The invention concerns a method for monitoring plant growth in field crops characterised in that it consists in measuring the content of a specific constituent by spectroscopy in near-infrared directly on the plants during post-germination development. In particular, the measurement is carried out on the plant aerial parts to calculate the nitrogenous nutrition index or to assess the nutrition condition in nitrogen or sulphur, the moisture deficit, the deficiency in trace minerals, or the health condition of the crops to control and manage the supply in fertilising agents and/or the supply of phytosanitary products. |
