PURPOSE: An apparatus and method for notifying weather forecast for TV is provided so that the weather forecast is notified at a predetermined time by displaying only character data of weather forecast according to the frequency of channel currently received. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus and method for notifying weather forecast for TV includes several steps. After arranging the broadcasting time of the weather forecast(S101), at the arranging time, all frame data relating to the weather forecast stores to a frame memory(S103). Among the frame data, only character data is checked and sequentially stored to the memory(S103,S105). Thereafter, if a key is input in order to identify weather forecast of the present area, according to the frequency of channel currently received, the weather forecast is displayed by discriminating the present area and reading the character data of weather forecast on the present area(S106,S107,S108). |
