PURPOSE: An optical transmission/reception device in an optical subscriber transmission system is provided so that an administrative unit signal(AU-3) is converted into a synchronous transmission module signal(STM-1), and the STM-1 signal is transmitted to an optical line, or the optical line receives and outputs the STM-1 signal in AU-3 signal unit. CONSTITUTION: An optical connecting unit(310) is connected to an optical line(12), and converts an optical signal type serial STM-1 signal into an electrical signal type serial STM-1 signal, or vice versa. A serial/parallel converting unit(320) receives the electrical signal type serial STM-1 signal, converts it into a parallel signal, and outputs the parallel signal, or receives a parallel STM-1 signal, converts it into a serial signal, and outputs the serial signal to the optical connecting unit(310). An STM-1 signal processing unit(330) processes the parallel STM-1 signal and outputs it in AU-3 signal units, or receives a predetermined number of the AU-3 signals, converts it into the parallel STM-1 signal, and transmits it to the serial/parallel converting unit(320). An external device connecting unit(340) connects an external device to the STM-1 signal processing unit(330) according to a section overhead data or a control signal. A state display unit(370) displays state information. |
