PURPOSE: An optical pickup is provided to have a structure capable of assembling a fixing part of the optical pickup by a high accuracy and to have good frequency characteristic. CONSTITUTION: An optical pickup comprises a base(11), a lens holder(12), a plurality of wires(35), and a damper member(90). The lens holder(12) is joined at the base so as to be moved through the plurality of wires(35). An elastic member(22) is inserted and installed at the base(11), which has a pair of side wall parts(11a), so as to be integrated with the side wall parts(11a). The wires(35) are fixed at the elastic member(22), and a fixed portion of the wires is covered by the damper member(90).
