<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a freshness-keeping container for fresh foods excellent in a freshness-keeping property for fresh foods and capable of sterilizing microbes attached to the fresh foods or the like. SOLUTION: An ozone generator 7 designed to keep the freshness of fresh foods and sterilize sundry microbes attached to the fresh foods is mounted inside container 1 for storing the fresh foods 17 of e.g. vegetables, fruits, raw fishes or meats. The ozone generator 7 comprises a cylindrical electrode 11 and an aciform electrode 12 disposed on the out side of the vicinity of one opening of the cylindrical electrode 11. The inside of the cylindrical electrode 11 is electrified by applying a high voltage between the cylindrical electrode 11 and aciform electrode 12 so that the Coulomb force and discharge energy due to the corona discharge generate ions and ozone. The air containing the ions and ozone is exhausted from the other opening of the cylindrical electrode 11.</p> |
