PURPOSE: A video recording system mounted to an automobile vehicle is provided to allow riders to be conscious of his/her safety operation of the vehicle during travel and to correctly prove the movement record of his/her car upon occurrence of any accident. CONSTITUTION: A video recording system comprises a camera(2a) for taking pictures of a portion of the rider's car and the ground relevant to the portion of the car, a video recording unit(4) for recording and accumulating the picture taken by the photographing unit, and a monitor(7) for displaying the picture taken, the photographing unit and the video recording unit being operated at any time during operation of the car so as to record and accumulate the picture.
