PURPOSE: A page turning device and a method for turning pages of a bankbook of an automatic printer are provided by which users don't have to turn pages of the bankbook and to put the bankbook in again while the automatic printer enters items in the bankbook. CONSTITUTION: The page turning device of the automatic printer comprises: a transporting means which transports a subject to be printed on, which comprises a power supply, a first and a second roller and a sensor which senses the location of the subject; a supporting means which supports the subject to be printed on, which is elastic; and a separating means which separates pages of the subject one by one, which comprises a power supply for separating, a separating roller which turns pages by rolling the roller connected to open pages of the subject, and a separating roller lifting means which connects or disconnects the separating roller to the subject.
