LOWER STRUCTURE OF DIRECTIONAL COUPLER

PURPOSE: A lower structure of a directional coupler is provided to prevent the displacement toward the horizontal direction reliably as well as to enhance durability. CONSTITUTION: A side surface of a space surrounded by upper/lower flanges(8,9), a vertical web(10) and a sleeper tie member is opened outside. A track bed ballast is filled from the side surface easily to increase resistance to transverse pressure and to prevent the displacement perpendicular to a rail. The lower structure of a directional coupler is integrated with plural iron sleepers by sealing both lengthwise sections of the iron sleepers with the sleeper tie member or connecting each iron sleeper with a couple of tie members. Therefore, the resistance to the transverse pressure of the rail is very high and the alignment deviation is prevented in giving large transverse force to the rail.
