PURPOSE: A pesticid and parasiticid use of 2-(substituted thio)thiazolo-£4,5-b|pyridine compounds is provided, which is a method for the control of helminth, nematode, insect or acarid pests or parasites, and damages of the crops by insects, acarid pests or parasites. CONSTITUTION: The 2-(substituted thio)thiazolo-£4,5-b|pyridine compounds that especially useful for pesticidal and parasiticid use are: 2£(4,4,3-trifluoro-3-butenyl)thio|thiazolo£4,5-b|-pyridine; 2-£(bromodifluoromethyl)thio|thiazolo£4,5-b|-pyridine; and 2-£(difluoromethyl)thio|thiazolo£4,5-b|-pyridine. The 2-(substituted thio)thiazolo-£4,5-b|pyridine compounds can be manufactured by making to react 2- thiothiazolo£4,5-b|pyridine compounds with pro-electronic body and base in a solvent. A process for the preparation of the 2£(4,4,3-trifluoro-3-butenyl)thio|thiazolo£4,5-b|-pyridine comprises of: treating thiazolo£4,5-b|pyridine-2-thiol(6.2g, 0.037M) solution in N,N-dimethylformamide with potassium carbonate(1.5g) and 1,1,2-trifluoro-4-bromobutene(8.3g, 0.046M); heating and shaking at 60°C for 24hrs, cooling and pouring to water; extracting the produced hydromixture with diethyl ether; drying the organic extracts with anhydrous sodium sulfate, and gaining residue by concentrating in vacuum; doing column-chromatography using silica gel and 9: 1 hexane/ethyl acetate solution to get target product.
