PURPOSE: A method for preventing from mis-tuning for multi-system TV is provided so that user's convenience become increased by discriminating the positive and negative of multi-system TV. CONSTITUTION: A method for preventing from mis-tuning for multi-system TV includes a step for discriminating whether the ID of signal is operated when starting the tuning operation(202S,203S). A step is to detect a frequency when operating the ID of the input signal(204S). If the detection of the input frequency is completed, a step is to compare it with the stored channel table value(206S). A step is to discriminate whether the frequency of the input signal is the frequency of the predetermined channel(207S). As the result of the above step, if the frequency of the input signal is not the same as the frequency of the predetermined channel, a step is that the frequency is stored as the negative modulation(209).
