PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make surely performable the change-over of an electric circuit and the control characteristic or a controller accompanying the change-over of the configuration of a hydraulic circuit in a hydraulic material test system. SOLUTION: When an operator operates a select lever 24 to change over the configuration of a hydraulic circuit, an electric switch 28 is operated by the select lever 24 and the current circuit configuration of the hydraulic circuit is displayed by the output of the electric switch 28. As a sensor signal S22 outputted from a displacement sensor 32 mounted on a piston of a pilot valve 20 is subjected to a gating by an AND gate 58 connected to the electric switch 28, according to the output of the electric switch 28, the circuit configuration of the electric circuit is changed over. A host computer 34 reads the output of the electric switch 28 to determine the current circuit configuration of the hydraulic circuit, and a digital signal processor 36 is set according to the determination result to change over the control characteristic of a controller system.
