PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a temperature detector saving space, having a small number of terminals, and detecting a terminal voltage abnormality due to the degradation, the disconnection or the defective contact of individual temperature detection elements or the disconnection or the defective contact of a common ground terminal. SOLUTION: A first thermistor 3 and a second thermistor 4 having different temperature output characteristics are contained in a single package 2, and the both thermistors 3, 4 are connected to a common terminal piece 15. Since the first thermistor 3 and the second thermistor 4 have different temperature output characteristics, when a terminal voltage abnormality occurs due to the degradation, the disconnection or the defective contact of both the thermistors 3, 4 or the disconnection or the defective contact of the common ground terminal, detected values of the both thermistors 3, 4 will deviate from a prescribed relationship and the abnormality will be determined.
