PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication terminal device that can surely process a command received from a slave set during detection of a busy tone, even when a master set is connected to private branch exchange or the like. SOLUTION: A master set controller 11 of a master set 10 detects the presence of reception of a command signal from a slave set while measuring the on time of a busy tone signal (S1-S4), measuring elapse of a prescribed delay time after the elapse of a prescribed time, when the busy tone signal is turned on (S5-S7), and measuring an off time of the busy tone signal (S8-S10). During the receipt of the command signal in each measurement (S2: YES, S7: YES, S9: YES), a busy tone detection flag is read from an EEPROM, reset and stored again in the EEPROM, the busy tone detection processing is finished, and the command received from the slave set is executed.
