Volute type compressor (1) has casing (10) which contains suction chamber (18) and has suction opening into suction chamber. First (16) and second (20) volute parts with spiral elements (16b, 20b) are arranged with angular and radial displacement to form fluid pockets. Groove (101g, 20g) is formed on casing internal surface and on external surface of spiral element. Groove extends circumferentially around casing to position passing through suction opening and forms oil path (2) for introducing oil inside casing. Oil path exists whatever position of volute parts and even when spiral element is near suction opening so that oil is introduced through suction opening.
