摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture an electrode plate superior in electrical characteristics by sequentially performing processes from the formation of a metallic porous foil as an electrode substrate to adhesion of active material powder. SOLUTION: A metallic porous foil 10 is formed sequentially, which is made of metallic powder and having an adjacent connected contact portion and a fine void formed at a gap of a non-contact portion. While the metallic porous foil 10 is sequentially fed, active material powder free from a binder is made to adhere to the surface of the metallic porous foil 10 at required points. Immediately after or during the adhesion of the active material powder, the metallic porous foil 10 passes between rollers 6, so that an active material powder is filled in the fine void formed in the metallic porous foil 10, and further is press-contacted with the surface of the metallic porous foil 10. Subsequently, the metallic porous foil 10 is put into a reservoir of a liquid binder 25, thereby laminating a binder coated layer on the active material powder layer formed on the metallic porous foil 10. Thereafter, the metallic porous foil 10 is made to pass through a drying furnace, so that the binder coated layer is dried. Then, the metallic porous foil 10 is made to sequentially pass between a plurality of pairs of rollers 30-33 which are disposed along a transporting path, thus forming the metallic porous foil 10 in a required thickness.
