PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce wiring space and assembly man-hours by detecting an output current without requiring any installation space. SOLUTION: In an intelligent power module(IPM) 3 where an inverter 11 consisting of a power element, a predriver 12 for driving it, and a protection circuit 13 are mounted and are incorporated into the same package, a shunt resistor 31 is provided at the output of the inverter 11 so that a voltage across a shunt resistor 31 can be taken out to an external device, thus detecting the output current of an inverter device where the IMP 3 is incorporated can be detected without using any current transformer requiring a large installation space. Also, the module terminal of the IPM 3 and the terminal block of the inverter device are integrated, thus eliminating the need for a wire for connecting the module terminal to the terminal block and a mounting screw for connection. |
