PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrical connector capable of being cleaned as is, without being mounted with an auxiliary such as a waterproof cap, having an electrical contact point which is not exposed to the exterior and is easy in connecting and disconnecting operation. SOLUTION: In an electrical connector equipped with a plug, having an electrical contact and a receptacle 40 capable of receiving the plug and having a contact part 45, making contact with the electrical contact 38 of the plug at the time of plug insertion and electrically connecting the two by inserting the plug into the receptacle 40, a recessed part 49 for receiving the plug is formed in the receptacle 40, the contact part 45 capable of making contact with the electrical contact 38 of the plug is provided on an inner surface of the recessed part 49, the plug is shaped so that it can be caught in the recessed part 49 of the receptacle 40, and the electrical contact 38, making contact with the contact part 45 provided on the inner surface of the recessed part 49, is provided on a portion of the plug which abuts on the inner surface of the recessed part 49 with the plug caught in the recessed part 49 of the receptacle 40. |
