PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress frequency band enlargement by error correction required for correcting burst errors by interference waves. SOLUTION: In this reception circuit, by measuring reception signal power inputted from a transmission line in a power measurement circuit 107, the moving average of the reception signal power is calculated. Based on the calculated result, an error position estimation circuit 108 detects the interference waves and estimates the position of the burst error. Then, the estimated burst error position is supplied to a Reed-Solomon decoding circuit 105 as error position information and the Reed Solomon decoding circuit 105 performs erasure correction by that. Thus, the increase of redundancy required for correcting the burst error is reduced and the frequency band enlargement is minimized.
