PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the abnormality of alignment layers and to stably obtain uniform and good alignment layers by shortening the production process and reducing the cost of projecting part formation. SOLUTION: This process for production consists in first adhering resin raw material having the adhesiveness to be cured by light or heat to the prescribed position of at least one substrate 1a while controlling the discharge rate from an ink jet recorder for discharging the resin raw material at the time production of the liquid crystal element by forming partition wall patterns 5 at a pair of substrates 1a and 1b and bonding the substrate 1a and the other substrate 1b. A pair of the substrates 1a and 1b are bonded to each other so as to maintain the substrates at a prescribed spacing via the partition wall pattern 5 formed by curing the resin raw material adhered to the substrate 1a. Liquid crystals 8 are thereafter injected between a pair of the substrate 1a and 1b bonded to each other.
