PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To instantly switch the color information of a light beam emitted from a light source in a color changer. SOLUTION: The extraction of an evanescent wave is executed by making the light beam 2 emitted from the light source 1 incident by an angle which is equal to or larger than a critical angle and forming a total reflection surface and moving an optical member, so that an optical path is changed. A color filter 39 is provided in the mid-way of the optical path, so that a high speed color changer is realized.
