PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce time until cooking such as baking is completed, as compared with conventional cooking devices. SOLUTION: A conductive body 3 is formed in a cooking chamber 1 provided with a heater 2 by electrically insulating it. A high-voltage generation device 4 is formed outside the cooking chamber 1, only one pole of the secondary side of the generation device 4 is electrically connected to the conductive body 3 for applying the high voltage to the conductive body 3, so that an electric field is formed in the cooking chamber 1. Thereby, cooking can be effectively performed by reducing the cooking time for baking and the like.
