PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrain reduction in discharge capacity at low temperature time, and provide sufficient discharge capacity even at low temperature time by adding a vinylene carbonate derivative by respectively bonding a substituent group, other than hydrogen to fourth and fifth carbons of vinylene carbonate to a nonaqueous electrolyte. SOLUTION: A vinylene carbonate derivative by respectively bonding a substituent group, other than hydrogen to fourth and fifth carbons of vinylene carbonate is added to a nonaqueous electrolyte of a battery having a positive electrode (such as lithium containing cobalt oxide), a negative electrode (such as graphite) and a nonaqueous electrolyte (such as solvent ethylene carbonate and electrolyte LiPF6). The vinylene carbonate derivative represented by a formula (where R1, R2 represent a substituent group having the carbon number not less than 1) is desirably used as this derivative, and adding quantity is set to 0.1 to 10 wt.% to the nonaqueous electrolyte. A double bond part of this derivative is cut to react with the positive electrode and the negative electrode to form a high ion conductive coating film to restrain reduction in discharging capacity. |
