PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To constitute a color picture tube device capable of providing good convergence by eliminating convergence errors caused by a reverse deflecting current in a first and second wires connecting a horizontal deflection coil and a pair of terminals of lead wires. SOLUTION: In a color picture tube device, when a horizontal deflection coil 42H of a deflection yoke to deflect three electrons beam arranged in a single column is connected to a pair of terminals 45a, 45b of lead wires via a first wire 47a and a second wire 47b respectively, the first and second wires 47a, 47b are wired approximately parallel with the deflection yoke sandwiched therebetween and connected to the coil 42H so that the same direction deflection current is made to flow therein.
