PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal projector which allows the free regulation of the screen size of projected images even when an installation place is limited and allows the easy regulation of various kinds accompanying installation. SOLUTION: The liquid crystal projector 1 is provided with an optical system reflection means 6 for freely changing the projection direction of the projection lens on the exit side of the projection lens 5. A mirror section 6 as the optical system reflection means is constituted by mounting a mirror 6a for reflecting the projecting light of the projection lens 5 at the mounting member of, for example, a hemispherical shape and rotatably mounting the mirror via a revolving shaft 7 to a mirror section supporting shaft 8. The mirror section supporting shaft 8 is freely elongatably and contractably constituted by using plural members 8a, 8b, 8c and is mounted rotatably around the projection lens 5 to the upper part of the projector body 2. As a result, even if the installation point is limited, the regulation of the screen size of the projected image and the regulation of the height of the screen may be freely carried out simply by adjusting the length of the mirror section supporting shaft 8. Even if the body 2 is inclined by the angle regulation of the mirror section 6, the regulation of various kinds, accompanying the installation, such as projection of the distortion-free projected image, may be easily carried out.
