PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable highly accurate angle adjustment at a low cost by changing the position of one end of a document carrying device by the turn of an angle adjustment screw, thereby rotating it around its other end. SOLUTION: A fixing metal device 30 is positioned and fixed with a positioning pin in relation to a document reading part A. In relation to the fixing metal device 30, both legs 31a and 31b of a U-shaped support member 31 supporting a document carrying device B are connected so as to freely rotate around a shaft Y. By means of stepped screws 40 and 41, etc., a connection member 20 is slidably connected on a support member 31 so as not to slip off. An angle adjustment screw 33 engages with a projecting part 31C formed at the end of the support member 31. A knob 34 is integrally joined with the angle adjustment screw. The angle adjustment screw is rotated by the knob 34, and fixedly supported in the axial direction by the projecting part 22A. The turn of the knob 34 changes the positions of the connection member 20 and a frame 22, that is, the position of a document carrying device B in relation to the document reading part A is displaced, as shown by the arrow W.
