PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the time when a succeeding menu is displayed by detecting an address and a size of data on a disk from a read request of data and analyzing them so as to set a moving target position of each head thereby moving each head to each target position. SOLUTION: Before displaying a menu on a display device of a computer 100, number of choices that is to be displayed on the menu is detected. Heads 1a-1c are moved to positions of data of a succeeding menu on a disk with respect to the detected number of the choices. Whether or not all the heads 1a-1c are moved is confirmed. When number of the heads is more than the number of the choices, the number of the heads equal to the number of the choices is moved. When number of the heads is less than the number of the choices, all the heads are moved. The menu is displayed on the display device of the computer 100 and the data are revised into an expression so that the choices corresponding to the moved heads are momentarily are displayed on the menu. Having moved each head in advance can reduce the time until the succeeding menu is displayed.
