摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the abrasion of an end surface of a tooth by forming an involute curve-shaped chamfered part on a ridge line of an anti-rotating direction tooth flank side chamfered part and an end surface of the tooth of a drive gear in an involute gear device capable of axially sliding the drive gear of a starting mechanism of an engine, and engaging with and disengaging from a driven gear. SOLUTION: When a drive gear 1 is transferred to a driven gear 2 side, both gears 1, 2 can be smoothly engaged in a case where an end surface 1d of a tooth 1a of the driving gear 1 and an end surface of a tooth of the driven gear 2 are not collided with one another, but the drive gear 1 is rotated in a state that it is pressed to the driven gear 2 in a case where both end surfaces of the gears 1, 2 are collided with one another, which causes the abrasion of the end surfaces of the teeth. To prevent the same, an anti-rotating direction tooth flank chamfered part 1b is formed on the tooth 1a of the drive gear 1, and a ridge line B1 of this chamfered part 1b and the end surface 1d is formed into the involute curve having the shape same as a toothed involute curve of the drive gear 1. Whereby both gears 1, 2 can be smoothly engaged, and the abrasion can be reduced.
